Ecological economical life
I refrain new year greeting because I'm in mourning for my family.
This year I aim to cut my costs, but invest in myself and cost reduction means.
I'll reduce energy consumption and wastes.
And I do practice.
In an extreme case, it were to happen disaster, war, or something awful incident, my money would changes mere sheets of paper and nuggets of metal.
In particular, I'll practice about...
1)cut-down electricity consumption
Air conditioner setting temperature gets 16 deg C(approx. 60 deg F)
Use blankets instead of air conditioner
Use kotatsu (small table with an electric heater covered by coverlet)
Often turn off computer, monitor, lights
2)cut-down water and gas consumption
Use tub, sink dishes in it and reduce running water
Use gloves instead of using less hot water in wash dishes
Use washing machine fewer frequency
3)cut-down wastes
Have vegetable peel and core as possible
Think another usage before dispose, especially nonburnable garbage
Use my bag when I go shopping and say no plastic bags
I tried to keep warm my room. I put bubble wrap on the inside of windows.
Actually put on the outside is more effective, but I couldn't reach top of it from the outside.
I pasted wrap by double-sided tape, and after ironed stuck area without unstick.
I carpeted aluminum evaporation coating polystyrene sheet under kotatsu cover along the way.
It looks pretty clunky! looking from the outside, bubble wrap and double-sided tape are seen obviously.
